26th Birthday!

Eh, nothing to get excited about. Would have been cool to spend it with some friends and some drinks. Maybe next year...
Quite honestly I don't need the reminder that in getting older :(
I am glad that I had my family with me the whole day.

Happy Anniversary::One Year!

On August 20, 2011 I married the man of my dreams. Together we've accomplished so much in life and we've grown in ways we could never of imagined. While celebrating our anniversary I thought of where I would be on that day if Steve wouldn't have asked me out nearly 4 years ago. I honestly have no idea where I'd be in my life, certainly I wouldn't be a mother or married. I am honored to be Mrs. Nagy & to be sharing my life with Steve, who for the most part 'gets me'. Anyways we went out to dinner and had a quiet afternoon together...

Pemberville Parade

Today I got the chance to participate in my first parade. This was a work organized event and Ish & Sofia were invited to tag along in the fun! We had a lot of sitting around before the parade started so I snapped a couple quick pictures. Sadly Sofia fell asleep before the parade got started but Ish performed very well at his job of throwing candy & waving at the crowd!

I love any opportunity to have my children play with other kids there age, yesterday Sofia got the chance to do just that! We had a mini play date with Bailey and Brian! Sofia didnt really appreciate it, she was mostly hanging out with mommy but I did get to snap a few quick photos of the three of them together.
P.S. Ish was there too, he had his own playmate, Krystina's brother Rilee!

Today was one of those rare days when I have to work on a Saturday. I decided to bring Sofia to work with me also. I was honored to spend a couple hours having 'girl time' with her! She looks like a successful business woman sitting in mommy's office chair!

My Two Loves

It's beginning...Ish is finally starting to recognize Sofia as a mobile human being. And with that I believe he is starting to accept her more into his life. He talks to her and sometimes I snag a quick moment of him sharing a laugh with her. I hope they become fast friends in life and they grow a bond between the two of them that won't be broken.

Fourth of July Festival

Sofia's birthday weekend landed the same time as our towns Annual Fourth of July Fest. Despite the craziness of our weekend we found time to head over and check out the foods and rides. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Ish LOVED the rides. He rode the semi trucks and begged me to go on the ferris wheel with him. There's no fear of heights in this kid! Needless to say we had a blast! I just hope that next year the festival is the week after Sofia's birthday! This momma can only handle so much stress in one weekend!

Happy 1st Birthday Sofia

June 30th our baby girl celebrated her first birthday! Our neighbor decided to invite the local town clown to celebrate with the kiddos! Sofia wasn't thrilled about turning one year old. She was hot and grumpy for most of the day. I can't say I blame her though it was plain ole HOT that day! We made the best of it and went on our way. Sofia got a lot of really great gifts from her family and friends. We are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

Sick little baby

Yesterday she had a fever of 101.2! With the help of some infant fever reducer she started looking & acting like regular self. Now again tonight she is looking not so great again. Took her temp and its at 101.4. It's her bedtime so a little bit of milk and a good nights rest are in her future... I really hope it's just a teething fever. Love you baby girl!

Neglectful to my blog for the last year. Taking care of two kids, a husband and a full time job has been more work than I could ever imagine. I found an app that seems like it could revive my blogging life. This is my test post... Welcome back Jessica:)

Christmas in New York & Ohio

It has been a LONG Christmas holiday season...I am thankful for being able to spend time with family in all parts of the country. Even though I dread the long drive to New York it is always worth it for the kids to see the rest of their family. Ish and Sofia are such troopers when it comes to traveling. I just hope it stays that way as we don't look to stop going places anytime soon.

Ish had a lot of fun this Christmas, he couldn't get enough of opening gifts. We even let him open Sofia's presents because he was on such a high from opening all of his. Ish received some awesome gifts this year including a personalized picnic table (that he has to share with Sofia) that is decorated with Mickey Mouse & friends engravings.

Christmas is such a magical time of year and I hope that as the kids grow they get to experience that Christmas Day magic of presents under the tree! And I really am excited for next Christmas!

6 mos already?!

Sofia, aka:: FiFi

My sweet baby girl!! 6 months just doesn't seem possible, but yet it seems like we've had you with us since our lil family began. I enjoy your beautiful smile and perky personality. Most of all I enjoy how peaceful you are. You love your big brother so much and you are growing on him like a weed! Ish came up with the cutest lil nickname for you, so if you don't love it when you get older you can blame him. Tummy Time has become a lot more frequent for you, although you can't go anywhere yet, you are giving it all you've got!
I struggle with comparing you to how your older brother was at this age, but I have to remind myself that you are two seperate human beings. And you will grow and learn at different stages. Speaking of growing, you are already into size 9 month clothing!! And has to wear A LOT of Ish's hand-me-down clothes because we just cannot keep up!! Keep growing at this rate and you'll be bigger than Ish, which may be good for you since its less likely that he will pick on you later in life ;)

FEEL THE BURN

My calves are burning this morning...I haven't worked out in over a year and my body is screaming at me for it. I hate to get excited about working out because I have a tendency to give up rather quickly but I cannot help but to acknowledge my increased level of motivation!! I finally decided that it was time to buckle down and lose weight (the right way) through healthy eating and increased activity. For the last few weeks I've been feeling DEPRESSED, no lie. After a few weeks of not stepping on a scale, I saw my weight and wanted to die. I tried to figure out whether I wanted to start out eating better or working out (beause it seemed like it would be easier to do one first then incorporate the other later) but I wasted so much time trying to decide that I finally told myself just do both! It doesn't hurt to throw my whole heart and soul into this. I feel like I'm falling in love with myself again. It's similar to that feeling you get when you first start dating someone you really like. So far, I look forward to my 60 minute date with myself on the treadmill. I cannot wait for the day when my legs can handle running for at least 25 minutes. My first day on the treadmill I did run, for only 2 minutes, but it was very uplifting. I was highly proud of myself. And to keep myself motivated even more...As I start my walk I am going to think of a great reason for wanting to lose weight/get in shape and I will post it on my Facebook as a daily reminder as to why I am doing this.
My workout motto is: If I can do it ONE day, I can do it EVERY day!
